Rather a disappointing start to our first affiliated event of the British Eventing season. A harshly judged dressage test gave NT and I a dressage score of 34.5 - it's always interesting to read why a judge has scored a horse how they have and to read their comments - we often get the same dressage judge again and it is a chance to find out what they are looking for and hopeful give us an opportunity to gain some marks in the future. Today's test said 'tense' and 'tension' - he didn't feel tense but perhaps he looked it!

NT felt lovely show jumping and performed a very balanced & rhythmical round and was clear, so we went forward to the cross country phase on our dressage score.

The cross country course was as always at Munstead a well presented course which is suitable for a horse at the level it is entered at. NT and I were having a lovely round until he had two VERY naughty stops at the trekhaner - this fence did cause a lot of problems on the course but I was cross as I truly believe he should of jumped it when he was represented to it - off cross country we shall go! Bad pony.......
