Now I have moved it seems that all the events are more 'local' to me!

Two horses to compete today in the BE90open section, James and Burntwood Sorrell. Glorious weather and an event that gave me chance to catch up with lots of people and have a fairly relaxed day.

I was pleased with James, he did a 38.5 dressage which I thought was quite harshly marked, he show jumped well but unfortunately rolled a pole and picked up a time penalty SJ - he gave me a lovely ride cross country and we schooled round for an educational experience so we were slightly over the time cross country. We finished 15th in a strong section and I was pleased with his performance.

This was my first event on Burntwood Sorrell who is a 15 year old chestnut gelding, he is owned by the people that bred him and has previously been competed by Sam Jennings at BE100 level. HE was as you would expect at this level a pleasure to ride, his dressage test was slightly tense as I think he was quite pleased to be a party! a 35 dressage and a double clear let us finish the day with a 4th place.

Sid is still off games and feeling very sorry for himself and looking for sympathy at every possible chance.

Next stop Hickstead for some show jumping and then we are at Eridge.
